OpenPlay NYC helps people find sports sessions offered by independent providers. You can browse without creating an account.

Information we collect

If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, encrypted authentication credentials, and security/session records such as IP address and user agent. If you use personalization features, we store saved events, filters, alert preferences, notification history, and—when you enable native push notifications—an anonymous device identifier and Apple push token.

How we use information

We use this information to operate accounts, sync saved items, deliver requested alerts, protect the service, and diagnose problems. We do not sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Sharing and outside services

Registration opens the independent provider’s website, where that provider’s privacy policy applies. Hosting, database, email-delivery, and Apple push-notification vendors may process the limited information needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Location

The map can use your device’s approximate or precise location only after you grant browser or device permission. OpenPlay NYC uses it to center the map and does not store that location on its servers.

Retention and your choices

Guest saves and preferences remain on your device; guest alerts use the random OpenPlay identifier so they can be delivered to that device. Signed-in data is retained while your account is active. You can remove saved items and alerts individually, revoke notification or location access in device settings, or permanently delete your account and associated account data from Profile → Delete account.

Children

OpenPlay NYC is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
